EuroCopa 2024 – Algarve

In April 2024, Watford Walking Football Club entered a team into the over 50s category in the EuroCopa Walking Football Tournament. Played in the Algarve, Portugal, the over 50s category had some tough competition including a team from Nottingham Forrest that included ex-pro – Nigel Jemson.

The Watford team was an eclectic mix of 50s and 60s players who came together on and off the pitch to enjoy a few days away together.

The tournament was brilliantly organised by Algarve Football Tours in Albufeira. It was a 7-a-side format with 2 days of football for all teams.
