Social, non-competitive ladies only sessions planned from 3rd April 2025
After attending a recent FA Conference at St George’s Park, it was clear that walking football can benefit so many people by improving their mental and physical health. Walking football can also become a regular social session that many look forward to.
Here at Watford Walking Football Club we recognise that we can support our local community and are planning to put some non-competitive, social and fun sessions on for everyone to enjoy and participate in. We will start with ‘ladies only’ sessions, and plan to roll this out at a later date to include men who might not want the intensity that our competitive sessions currently provide.
Our mission is to provide a safe and social setting for people to enjoy improving their wellbeing through a version of walking football.
From 3rd April 2025 will be rolling out ‘ladies only’ social sessions on Thursdays 8-9pm (arrive 7.45pm). These will consist of fun, scoial and non-competitive sessions, aimed at ladies with little or no football experience, who want to get fitter at a pace which is suitable for everyone. The sessions will include:
- Stretching and mobility
- Strength building through resistance bands
- Learning to kick and control a football
- Fun and social activities
