Watford Bears get promoted

The 60s ‘Bears’ have been promoted to Division 2 of 3 in the TVWFL.

The Bears name was chosen by our late Steve Dyett, and it only seemed fitting to name the older of the teams representing Watford in the  Thames Valley Walking Football League ‘The Bears’ and rename the 50s team ‘The Cubs’ .

This team have gelled well and the first two fixtures included two of our ladies, Nabeela Butt and Holly Lovell in the squad. The team spirit is what makes this team so successful – continual support for each other on and off the pitch.

We look forward to the challenge that Division 2 will bring and our first fixture will be on 23rd March.
