Watford Ladies Allstars first match

On Sunday 15th December, Watford Walking Football Club hosted a friendly tournament with 3 men’s teams from Watford WFC, 2 men’s teams from Welwyn Garden City WFC and Watford WFC Ladies Allstars.

It was the ladies first ever representative team for Watford Walking FC ladies, and included a couple of Cheshunt players and Parringdon Pirates players to help form the Allstars team.

The ladies won their first match against one of the Watford teams. The ladies thoroughly enjoyed playing together and were no walkover for any of the teams. Playing some lovely football and determined to hold their own, they ended up with a win, two draws and two losses.

We are keen to recruit more lady players and build on both the competition and social aspects of the game.
